I spent yesterday at Nashville’s amp expo hanging with my friends from Shaw Audio. There were TONS of vendors there from all over the country… almost any boutique amp builder you could think of, and I still can’t get over the sound of Shaw amps. I’m so thankful I got hooked up with those guys.
If you’re into guitar amps and gear, here are a few I think you should check out:
Shaw Audio
Reason Amps
3rd Power Amplification
Goodsell Amps

The studio is ready. We’re up and running. I just recently tracked a few artists, and am having their material sent to the drum room this upcoming week. It’s keeping me busy, and I can’t complain. Between being in the studio and playing out, I can say that I love my job. We’re also working on a few of my new tunes that I hope to have you guys very soon. I look forward to your feedback.

Well… this Tuesday I am teaching. When I’m in town, I teach piano/guitar/vocal lessons at different places. So I’ll spend my afternoon doing that. I’ve got some new material I’m really excited about getting into the studio to record so you guys can hear it. We’ve been playing it out recently, and people seem to like it. I hope to be able to share these tunes very soon. Don’t waste today, people!!

Just to catch everyone up on the last week of my life, I got bit by a dog last Friday, and I’ve been watching the holes in my leg get smaller ever since. On a more positive note, I got to spend hours in the ER and heard some pretty ridiculous stories… and met some pretty insane people –literally. Here’s a taste of what I experienced:
This lady walks in the door to the ER, walks over to the telephone, and lays out on the ground and begins to express her sexual problems. She stares at me the whole time. I am very uncomfortable at this point, so I do what every caring person would do– pretend that she doesn’t exist. I would glance back at her on the floor ever so often, only to find her staring at me. She was finally escorted into a back room. I did feel bad for her… but she gave me a story I’ll be able to tell people for the rest of my life. Thank you, sexually frustrated ER woman.

So yesterday I was teaching a guitar lesson and remembered this song that I used to be obsessed with. The band Jump, Little Children has got to be one of my favorite bands. Three songs that deserve a good listening to: 1. Mexico 2. Cathdrals 3. My Guitar.
Maybe it was just the mood I was in, but I remembered how much I loved their music. Especially Mexico… I get a little teary-eyed when I hear that one. Yep, I’m a girl. Now go youtube these songs!

what a game… I’m still blown away. Today I plan on writing. Can I use the US win as inspiration? …it’s either that or the Ghengis Grill that I had for lunch.
